About a month ago I was trawling through my favourite organic store in my city in search of a new exfoliator. Anyone who knows me or has followed me for some time, knows I’m an absolute sucker when it comes to natural skin care.
Looking over the shelves, I had no idea what to zone in on. Which brand would be best? Which brand isn’t just going to take more of my money because it was “organic” or “natural”? Then a brand caught my eye. A brand that stood out from the pack –
Natural ingredients – check
Australian made – check
Small company – check
Glass packaging – you bet!
As you know, I don’t put anything on my blog that I haven’t tried (and loved) and Mokosh is no different. I quickly went through the samples and have since commandeered full size products so I thought I’d give you a bit of a run down on what I’ve used and what I think you should try –
- Facial Cleanser, Exfoliator and Mask (a 3-in-1) – my reason for trying this brand but I have to admit this was my least favourite of the products I’ve used. My skin becomes quite congested in winter and I was looking for a miracle. Sadly, this was just too gentle for what I need. It’s full of great ingredients like aloe vera powder, rose petal powder, pomegranate fruit juice powder but I just needed something a little more bad ass.
- Pure Hydrosol Toner – I spend a lot of time in a sauna and I wanted something that I could spritz on my skin afterwards. This has anti-inflammatory properties, helps balance sebum and restores skin pH which is great for anyone’s skin. I am now the happy owner of a full-sized toner having used the sample way too quickly.
- Elderberry and Chia Seed Beauty Serum – this can also double as a moisturiser should you want something light. I am terrible at religiously using anti-aging products so this is a simple option for me. It’s enriched with omega-6 fatty acids and antioxidants and you just smooth it on after your toner. I had to get my hands on a full-sized serum pretty quickly too.
- Pure Face and Body Cream – this is by far my favourite product of the four. After realising the thick moisturiser I had been using for Bella and I was packed full of petrolatum (read about it – you definitely don’t want that anywhere near your skin), I wanted to give this a try. This moisturiser is full of a variety of nourishing oils and unlike their other creams, has no essential oils in it, making it perfect for the little miss too. Not only that, but the company do not add any water to it! That means the whole product is made of quality ingredients and hasn’t been bulked up by anything meaning more bang for your buck. You also use only the smallest bit and the oils melt with the heat of your skin.

Disclaimer: Because I LOVED these products so much, I reached out to the company to tell them how happy I was. They kindly sent me a few products to add to my arsenal but this post is completely unsponsored and unpaid. I’m just giving credit where credit is due
