Well February, what do I have to say about you? You’re usually my favourite month of the year – the summer heat, my birthday and the year has well and truly begun. Continue reading “JOURNAL: summer goodbye”
For the past few months, I’ve been so terrible at getting up and tackling the day. I generally get a good sleep but I definitely have been staying up way too late and perhaps that’s made me a bit too sloth like in the mornings. Not to mention I get the most amazing cuddles if I wait to be woken up by my real-life, walking and talking, three year old alarm. However, she loves waking up to me moving about the house and I love getting my makeup done without little miss grabbing everything they can reach.
I was going to start this post with a quick run down of my routine, but then I realised how ironic it would be to speak about how busy we all are and take up your time with information that does nothing to help you.
Ok, so this one might be more for me than you. Ever see a trend, buy into it, get it home and wonder how the hell you are going to work it? That was me with this head scarf.
I don’t know how it happens but I’m always the girl at the party who’s hanging with the boys. It’s never something I intentionally seek, there’s just some sort of gravitational pull and that’s where I end up.
It amazes me how much of my life I could tell you through my clothes. I seem to have a story to go with every piece I own.
I want to try something a little different with my blog. I didn’t create this blog to be endless posts providing free advertising for a multitude of companies. I created it as a place to document things that add value to my life in a bid to add value to yours.
Wow. It has been two months since I’ve posted on here. Firstly, thank you for all those who continue to check in and see if there’s anything new. It means so much.
When I wanted to update my room, I knew I wanted a few things – 1) I wanted my room to promote relaxation, 2) I wanted good quality bamboo sheets, 3) I wanted a big piece of artwork that I wouldn’t grow tired of and 4) I wanted my bed on the floor.
A couple of weeks ago, I posted on Instagram that I cull five things from each room in my house each week. Surprisingly, I received so much feedback – both from people who are trying to do similar or people who wished to do the same but couldn’t stand to lose their possessions.
