Wow. October. How the hell did that happen? Another month down and another month closer to the end of the year.
For the past few months, I’ve been so terrible at getting up and tackling the day. I generally get a good sleep but I definitely have been staying up way too late and perhaps that’s made me a bit too sloth like in the mornings. Not to mention I get the most amazing cuddles if I wait to be woken up by my real-life, walking and talking, three year old alarm. However, she loves waking up to me moving about the house and I love getting my makeup done without little miss grabbing everything they can reach.
I’ve always been about taking a dish and making it healthier but as a mum navigating through the difficult toddler years, it’s become even more important. Don’t get me wrong, Bella has some healthy (and odd) favourites – avocados, raw cauliflower, raw mushrooms and any kind of fruit – but if she had her way, her diet would consist mainly of mac and cheese, chocolate, fries and lasagne (after scraping out all of the meat sauce).
I can hear it – the sigh of disappointment as you’ve seen what I’ve delivered as my first shopping haul. But if you’ll stick with me, you’ll see that I’ve picked the easiest, most common, most readily available place to start being finding healthy and useful goodies.
We’re a week into 2018 already. Do you ‘do’ resolutions? Have you decided what yours are?
Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s 2018? I’m having the hardest time wrapping my head around it.
What are your resolutions for the year? What did you learn from last year?
Let’s cut through the crap. I’ve been a bit indulgent and, with lack of a better word, lazy, of late. Now that silly season has well and truly begun with all the madness that comes with it there are some habits that I’m dying to bring back to the daily routine to help keep the sanity. So as much as this is for you, this is for me too – I need that kick in the butt to get back to good things.
