Well, my week started off really well. I woke up just before my 5am alarm on Sunday morning, did some journalling, got myself ready and headed out for my 6k walk. I listened to my audiobook (Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod) and then spent some time walking in silence reciting my affirmations. Continue reading “JOURNAL: chaos”
Those who follow me on Instagram often comment how on-the-go my life is. Truth is, I have to live my life that way. If I stay still for too long, I start to feel stale and lose who I am a little. It had been a few weeks since I’d been out of town and I was getting too in my head for my own (and probably my friends’) liking. So. To refresh and recharge, Bella and I started the week with a little road trip to Bowral – a small country town a couple of hours away from the city I live in.
Once upon a time, I used to do monthly journals and for whatever reason, I stopped. As always, my blog and social media evolves with me and my life and now I’ve decided I’m going to kick off my journals again – this time with weekly journals to see if there’s value for you in that. I’d love to see whether you enjoy these so please leave a like or a comment below so I can gauge whether or not to continue. If there’s anything I’ve gotten up to or incorporated in my life that you want to hear more about, please let me know that too. xx
Well, I made it through another winter here. Born and raised in a city that has all four seasons and very strong renditions of each season, you’d think by now I’d be used to the winters here but nope! Continue reading “JOURNAL: goodbye winter”
July, you were good to us. You were jam packed with friends, family, good food (the effects of which I desperately need to rectify), good purchases and lots of fun.
It’s been a while since my monthly recaps – the last one being March. I tried to recap April but life in isolation leaves little to be discussed so I gave myself a break until life ramped up again. Continue reading “JOURNAL: halfway there”
I’ve been trying to write this post since March ended but honestly, I have been too stressed to.
Well February, what do I have to say about you? You’re usually my favourite month of the year – the summer heat, my birthday and the year has well and truly begun. Continue reading “JOURNAL: summer goodbye”
What a whirlwind of a month January was for us here in Aus. From wild bushfires burning through so much of our bushland, killing our native animals and plants, families losing their loved ones, homes and possessions and, for the luckier ones of us, week on week of breathing the smoke through the air – my city suffering the lowest air quality in the entire world numerous days in a row.
Coffee. The beverage that makes the world go ’round. Pre-January 1 2020, coffee was my reason for getting out of bed. The ritual of making it, smelling it and sipping it while I got ready for the day was everything. Continue reading “WELLNESS: why i’ve given up coffee”
